I have professionally been working in the field of local development and project management for nearly 20 years. Although I started my career as a certified real estate appraiser at a very young age, what made me pursue a new career at a young age as a regional planner and project manager was the quest to make a difference. I joined Zafer Development Agency, a regional public body serving in the TR33 Region. I contributed to the development of many nationally and internationally funded projects and was the coordinator in the implementation of several IPA, Horizon and Erasmus projects and operations. After my time at the Agency, I worked as a project-based consultant to the World Bank as a Senior Local Development Expert and joined Sistem Global in 2019 as Director of International Projects and Development Consultancy. I became a partner in 2023 and I am currently in charge of international projects, local development projects, and funding departments.

My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Middle East Technical University and a Master’s degree in Urban Management and Development, with a specialization in urban competitiveness and resilience from Erasmus University Rotterdam. My dissertation focused on the scope analysis of competitiveness projects under EU external aid based on the IPA Regional Competitiveness Operational Program in Türkiye.
