MOVE Meter to be used for Routeplan 2030 for the Antwerp region
A Dutch-Belgian consortium was selected to make the new regional Mobility Plan for the region of Antwerp: Routeplan 2030. MOVE Mobility was asked to use its modelling and communication tool ‘MOVE Meter’ to explore different policy options.
The MOVE Meter has an import module with which all relevant data can be imported. It can be used to analyse socio-economical changes, modifications in infrastructure, changes in modal split, and its effects on accessibility, volume/capacity ratios and environment.
The ‘MOVE Meter’ is a friendly design tool that contributes to the different decision-making processes. Due to its GIS and web based nature this online tool improves the understanding of the linkage between traffic/transportation and urban planning.
