I have a B.Sc. in civil engineering from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, an MPA degree from Cornell University, and a Ph.D. in Public Economics from Ankara University. With more than 23 years of experience in government, academics, IFIs, and the private sector, I have managed a wide range of transport projects, designed several transport and mobility policies and strategies, and consulted on many projects in transport, urban mobility, and urban infrastructure sectors. I am excited to integrate my diverse academic and professional background in transport planning, transport economics, urban infrastructure and mobility policy design, economic analysis, and project management to create livable cities with better infrastructure and services.

Primarily focusing on transport sector infrastructure and policies, I worked as a senior specialist and later as the Head of the Department of Transport and Logistics at the State Planning Organization of Türkiye, the Ministry of Development and Presidency of Türkiye, Presidency of Strategy and Budget. I managed the most extensive portfolio of public investments of Türkiye in the transport sector and formulated various transport sector and sustainable development strategies. Having quit the public sector in 2020, I started to work as a transport and urban sector consultant and have consulted the World Bank, UNDP, EU, and various organizations in their projects to achieve sustainable, greener, safer, and more resilient cities.
