Restructuring of the Old Taxi Park in Kampala gets going!
Recently the second stakeholders platform for the restructuring of the Old Taxi Park in Kampala took place.
The High Level Committee kick-off meeting on 11th February about the feasibility study of the Redevelopment of OTP was followed by a Stakeholders platform meeting on 10th and 11th of March. Present were the Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and directors of different KCCA departments like Physical Planning), representatives of different Ministries, Real Estate, Union of drivers, Market sellers, et cetera as well as the Dutch consultants including MOVE Mobility. During this meeting the preliminary findings on history, spatial structure and qualities were presented. In separate SWOT analysis work sessions the participants focused on six themes.
