Car-centric African cities challenged by the effects of rapid urbanization are facing daily traffic congestion, air pollution and transportation challenges and Amanda, bicycling enthusiast, urban planner, and lecturer at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda is passionate about the solutions that lie in alternative modes of transport.
While Africa is still a green continent, Amanda believes that by design we are at a risk of losing the green and that it’s time for tough decisions to be made regarding the mobility issues affecting everyone in cities.
